Elizabethan Effigy Stays - Choose your Fabric - Made to your measurements

Design
These stays are based on the pair on Queen Elizabeth I's effigy from Westminster Abbey. They keep the original shape and style, but are updated with sturdier materials available in the modern era. They are fully boned with a mix of spring steel and half round reed, to give them a beautiful texture. The bones and reed under the arms are shortened and secured, as in the original stays, to keep them from binding uncomfortably. The stays are available in silk, cotton, linen, or lightweight jacquard fabrics.

Sizing
The stays are made to the customer's measurements.

Please include your natural measurements (bust, front bust, waist, and bust to waist) in the order, and I will make the correct size for you. *Note, Elizabethan stays are not meant for major waist compression. That is a body shaping which came about several centuries later. These will provide several inches of shaping, but should not be used for waist training or tight-lacing.

Construction
• Double layers of cotton canvas for strength (coutil upgrade available)
• Fully Boned (every square inch covered in boning channels)
• Mix of spring steel and artificial reed
• Twill Tape binding (self bound upgrade available)
• Two part grommets for sturdy lacing

Fabric
These stays can be made in almost any color, including two tone silk fabric. if you do not see the color you prefer listed, convo me and I will search for the right shade. Silk, Linen, and a few Jacquard fabrics are currently listed.

Shipping
Corsets are wrapped in several layers of acid free tissue, then placed in a Tyvek envelope for shipping. Any order over $100 comes with shipping insurance. If you would like special wrapping, please convo me.
